If I get rid of mine and get this one with the automatic, would I notice a performance decrease going to an automatic. I drive a lot in busy traffic so an automatic would be nice for that, but I also drive a lot on the interstate. Even though it has more miles on it, it will be more exciting to drive. Mine has 127,000 Miles on it and I have no problems at all. Dont power shift and dont beat the hell out of it and a T5 will hold up for along time. No problems in driveline at all, just tweeked the front frame when the bumper came off. BUT, yes, you WILL notice a difference.The car with the auto is the same color as yours. I like that laser red color. The bright red moldings and plastic on my manual are faded. Like mentioned, you can make up most of the difference with the items RC mentioned. Since I don't go to the track I don't care about a minor loss in performance and my car has plenty of power to pass on two lane roads. There are those few times on a twisty roads when I miss a stick, but they are becoming fewer as traffic continues to build. Just buy what you want and enjoy it. I am keeping what I got. The reverse synchronizer assembly was also revised for better engagement. In 1993, for the Cobra and Cobra R Mustang, the countershaft cluster gear recieved a special coating and the input bearing was upgraded from a torrington style to a tapered roller bearing. 1994-1995 Mustang T5's shared the same features as the Fox last variants, but the input shaft and input bearing retainer were a longer length. 1994-95 T5 will not fit Fox Mustang and 1983-93 T5 will not fit 1994-95 Mustang without extensive modification. 1983-1989 Mustang T5 was equipped with a yellow 7-tooth speedometer drive gear and 1990-1995 Mustang T5 was equipped with a light green 8-tooth drive gear. All of the synchronizers are the latest revisions, with 3rd and 4th featuring a carbon fiber facing. The first number you see is the classification of the cold weather viscosity. The smaller the number is on this first number means the oil being used will be less viscous at lower temps. The second number after the “W” is the high temp viscosity, or how the oil is at operating temps. Once again, the higher the number, the thicker the oil would be. Thicker oil is not always better, depending on the age and wear of the engine, thicker viscosity oil can benefit you. On a brand new engine, this could actually hurt you.
