Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2019 Yes, it rusts under the drawer. Sand it down and repaint every 2 years. I've owned this for 9 years. I bought it because I have a septic field and it uses only 9 gallons per wash. With a family of 4 we do about 20 washes a week. No repair took over an hour and all of the parts are easily ordered. The diagnostics are well done. An inexpensive part and easy to replace, I ordered 2 because shipping cost more than the part. I probably could have made a replacement using hanger wire and a spring. The diagnostics on the unit identified the issue. In the future I'll clean the trap, it was filled with change. Now at Year nine the door hinge broke - another simple replacement part.http://fapobenas.com/assets/bravo-ii-autoprinter-manual.xml

I'd rather have a well built unit designed to be maintained than a throw away that lasts 5 years. I have had it for about 4 years and have had NOTHING but problems. I have called several times only to be told that my issue is isolated and out of warranty. My issue? Well the washer smells and I keep get the dreaded E24 code meaning it won't drain. It does drain though. I have replaced the pump 4 times so far because again this is an isolated issue to me and every pump goes bad, how you ask. This has happened 4 times. Bosch should be ashamed that they sold this garbage machine. Just to top it off they have a pending class action lawsuit against them for the above reason stated. You stole my money and have caused a headache for me and my family. Thanks for the garbage machine you made! Please try again later. We stacked ours to save space and they do a great job. The trick is to move your laundry to the dryer soon after it’s done to prevent musty smell. We also always leave the washer door open when not in use. No rust no corrosion. Only issue is occasionally the spin cycle won’t spin at full speed if it the load is uneven. I just (first time in 3 years) snapped off the lower cover and retrieved a quarter and a dime from the pump reservoir. (Nice option)Runs even better then before. No error messages here we must have lucked out. Please try again later. Please try again later. Ivan A. Nemecek 1.0 out of 5 stars What a load (no pun intended) of crap. We kept on getting an E: error.I called Bosch and they told me that there has to be a number. They didnt believe me. Had a service tech, who was recommended by Bosch, they came out and had to call bosch technical service because they never heard of that type of error, even though that certain code was in the memory. Then I was told I use to much soap, I started to use 2 tablespoons only, as was recommended. Guess what? I still received bthe same E: error code. After that I was told to use a cleaner once a month to clean any soap residue. I would wash 3-5 loads and then the error would return. I called the tech service a third time and they came out and he cleared the code. So now I am still getting the same error code. Whatever you do PLease dont waste your money on this washer. Please try again later. Please try again later. Amazon Customer 1.https://ayurvedia.ch/bosch-logixx-8-1400-manual0 out of 5 stars While they have performed ok there are several issues that I would point out. 1. Both machines beep when the cycles are completed. Drives us crazy! 2. Washer does have a mildew smell we can't get rid of. We have followed the manual instructions to no avail. 3. Dryer comes with a reset button which is great, however, the reset button is inside the back of the machine and the only way to access is by taking off the back panel which has 40-50 screws. WTH?Please try again later. Please try again later. Sarah 1.0 out of 5 stars According to the service person who was sent out, the computer is bad. The part it needs is unavailable. Bosch has been giving me, the service personnel, and the warranty personnel from the store where we purchased it the run around for a week, and they refuse to allow the unit to be returned. The customer service representative from Bosch was rude and uncooperative. I've had no washer for weeks with no resolution in sight - I can't get it fixed, and I can't get it replaced. I wish I'd never bought it, and will never buy another Bosch appliance. Please try again later. Please try again later. K. Jenkins 1.0 out of 5 stars This is the worst purchase ever made. I bought the set hoping for many years of service I got one then started having problems!!!Please try again later. Please try again later. Harvey 3.0 out of 5 stars However, I was particularly disappointed with the dryer for two reasons. The door reversal instruction left out a key step that caused the door cover to break during the hinge reversal process. I later found a revision to the procedure in all the paperwork that would have eliminated the problem. Sorry, I believe the instruction book should have been reprinted to accommodate the change. Secondly, the absence of a side exhaust discharge option caused the unit to be an additional five inches from the back wall. Please try again later. Please try again later. AndsterManNYC Top Contributor: Pets 4.0 out of 5 stars So back to using half (or less) of the recommended amount (as noted on the detergent bottle) of the Tide HE detergent. Still very happy with the purchase and the service repair visit. It just gently tumbles around and the water sloshes through the clothes as they tumble. And with 4.4 cubic ft capacity (as opposed to most of the other front loads which seem to max out at 4.0 cubic ft), you can load this baby up and there's still plenty of room for your clothes to tumble around. In fact, the folks at Bosch recommend to never use more than 1-2 Tblsps.I like the manual dial that can be turned (less computerized parts requiring service) and the settings which are there are sufficient for my needs (regular hot, medium and cold, allergy protection using an extra hot rinse and xxtra sanitary (180 degree wash and rinse cycle)). I tried most of the settings (perm press, cotton, hot, warm, cold) on various different types of fabrics (underwear, perm press pants, jeans, cotton pants and shirts etc.) and everything came out great. I did my towels using the extra sanitary setting and sheets in allergy protection setting and all I can say about that is I'm not sneezing and my white towels finally came out white. So nothing bad to say. The product seems to work well, it uses much less water than a standard front load and it's really quiet when it runs. After the spin cycle is completed, it gently tosses your clothes so they're not all smashed and stuck inside the wall of the drum. UPDATE: One thing I learned from others, after you're done, take a towel and wipe the water laying inside the black rubber ring around the door opening and also leave the washer door open for a few days (as well as the laundry detergent sliding cup holder) so it will dry out. In talking to a repairman that works on these front load washers, he says that many of the repairs (not necessarily specific to Bosch front loader machines.) are related to mold build up in the washer because they sometimes retain residual water inside the machine or the rubber ring after the cycle is done. Please try again later. Now open the service flap and let off the water through the pipe. Next, unscrew the pump cover and fluff filter. Carefully check to see if there are any foreign objects in the pump. If the impeller can’t be turned, something could have become jammed in it. In this case, contact the customer service department on. The problem is that the washer will not operate and the door is latched closed. However, I had read that there was a diagnostic code that could be used to reset the latch solenoid via the control panel. In my case, the solenoid latch started clicking repeatedly. I pressed the Spin Selector button once or twice, which resulted in the display of new codes and then the release of the latch. I’m going through divorce and having to figure these things out by myself now. Suddenly the washer started spinning itself as I showered. I searched for this code and the others that popped up, none of which are in the manual. Your steps worked great. Now I just need to bungie strap the door because I pried it open last night to rescue my clothes. You did a great thing by posting this info. I had called to get an appointment seeing I had an extended warranty and the earliest I could get was 4 November. Was not looking forward to going to the laundromat. Thanks again for posting this info. Thank you for posting. This process did not work for me but I get the code every 4-6 months or so. I read somewhere to leave unplugged for 30 or more minutes. I do that several times, and after each then turn the dial to one of the bottom commands and wait. And wait. Eventually it works, sometimes many minutes later. I will hear the clicking and go check and it is clear. I did try your solution a few times and while it didn’t work, perhaps it helped in combination with the other things. Otherwise I love my Bosch but likely next time I’ll go with another brand. I also had to hold the Delay start button and push the start button but you got me pointed in the right direction You saved me! Thank YOU! After doing what you said, some P 1,2,3,etc codes showed up and after I set it back to P 1,(by pushing the spin setting)I turned it off and back to warm, BAM!!!! it worked. How did you come up with this remedy is what I am dying to know. Please tell. Then, I tried variants from there. So stupid Bosch doesn’t post those codes. I tried the suggested reset procedure but it did not go into Test Mode. So I made a service appointment for the next day. This reset the error code and everything is working Ok. I canceled the service call and plan on taking the wife out for a nice dinner!! This time, i thought for sure i was going to have to replace a part or the machine. I seriously am so happy i dont have to go to the Laundramat tonight nor purchase a new machine. Thank you so much for posting this!!! Thank you Thank you Thank you! Last thing i needed is the washer not working. Found your posting (we have the same Vision 500) it got the door and i am finishing his clothes now!!! Thank you thank you!!! It does indeed work. Thank you so much for this post. Thanks so much! I am beyond thrilled and cannot thank this poster enough It worked, thank you!!! Anyone else totally unhappy with this machine. I wish I had never traded my old school may tag top loader for this hunk of junk. Needs service every couple of months and doesn’t come close to getting our clothes as clean as my old machine. Bosch tech support could not help me. It was “beyond their capabilities”, as they put it. This was not on my yellow paper inside the machine. I don’t know how you found this information, but this is amazing.I had an E-01 error code and tried your fix anyway. It WORKED PERFECTLY. We did as you said and had to do some other button pushing after the P codes came up but what ever we did worked. Thank You So much for posting this to the public. Saved us money we didnt have as we are on a fixed income. Thank you again! I pressed the Delay Start and Spin Selection simultaneously, and that is what worked. Also, if you haven’t cleaned out the filter first, none of these steps will reset the machine. It will still be clogged and the machine will not run (or fill with water). So: Step 1- clean the clogged filter. Step 2, check to see if it will continue to work. IF the door lock will not reset then Step 3:remove the door seal and unscrew the two screws that hold the lock in place. See (Disconnect from power first!). Remove the connectors and pull the lock out. Unhook the clips and open the lock mechanism. You will see the latch that holds the door. There will be a plunger mechanism that you can push, and while doing so, rotate the latch mechanism back to the “open” position. Carefully replace the cover to the lock mechanism (watch for the springs), and then replace everything: see. Good luck. I do not have allergy button but just pushed the two close together and followed all the other steps and amazing door opened. Saved me a 60 dollar service call because I was done with trying any more. Worked like a charm. Hade to figure out that I needed to hit spin cycle till it was on 7 and then it reset its problem. First time I got an error code and was stuck. So thankful for your info!!! This left him with a pair of basketball shorts to face the impending nor’easter with. It was not ideal. Thank you! After my mom put a large comforter in, it started giving the E:27 error, although the door wasn’t locked shut. No diagnostics codes or anything like that appeared. It appears to be running normally now. Got an E-27 code. To reset I turned the dial to off. I depressed the delay start and spin selector buttons simultaneously, then turned the dial to cold while continuing to depress the two button. The message then oscillated between P01 and E27. I then released the two buttons and turned the dial to off. I then selected the wash setting and the machine began functioning normally. Saved a lot! Thanks. The best way to reduce water and energy usage is to simply learn how to operate home appliances such as your washing machine in a resource-efficient way. Here are 4 easy steps to get you started. Water pumps out OK. Took back off of machine and belt is OK. Have power to Motor Control Board but not. The above answers were pretty helpful, did you fix your problem with them. Did you check the manual for further instructions? You. The lights are on and there is no error code showing does anyone know what might be wrong? The lights are on and there is no error code showing does anyone know what might be wrong.I would not call that working then why do you.call a service tech. Tried running spin and rinse cycle but got an E:13 error code. The washer was unplugged for a 24hr. period. upon installing new door lock I am. Answer questions, earn points and help others. E13 indicates that your pump is taking too long to empty the machine and needs cleaned out. Add Tip Ask Question Comment Download Step 1: I Will Start With the E17 Code. One of the most aggravating things about the E17 code is that when it is going off, your machine door locks up and then it will do nothing but beep and flash E17. It also will NOT allow you to open the door to get things out; your clothes are now held HOSTAGE, they could be rotting in the washer for hours, days, WEEKS, even.before it dries out enough down below for your machine to stop freaking out! And.what if it is leaking. It certainly won't ever dry out then. For years now I have been dealing with the E17 code by tipping the machine back to allow the water to drain out of the sensor mechanism. But now, I am pleased to announce. I will no longer be obligated to tip back 250 lbs of machine full of water to regain control of this situation, and neither will you, if you follow these instructions. My machine does have a small leak, there is a hole in the door seal.In addition, in my research on this indicates that some people are getting the E17 code even when there is no water leaking, and I certainly have suspected this myself. That said, if you have a leak, you should certainly consider fixing it. ALERT!! ALERT!!! BEFORE DOING ANYTHING, UNPLUG YOUR MACHINE!!! Plus, know that doing these things to your machine may void any warranty you have. (My machine is not under warranty, and I am a brave person who feels at liberty to do as I please.) Now Then, let's begin. First you must remove the front panel. I already had mine off because I am constantly having to clean out my pump. Grasp both sides of your bottom front panel on the sides, and pull straight down toward the floor. It is held on by plastic clips that slide out when pulled downward. When you get it off, It will look something like this first pic. Add Tip Ask Question Comment Download Step 2: Open the Water Sensor Housing Case and Remove the Sensor Switch. Use a flat screwdriver to pry up the top of the white sensor housing case and pull out your sensor switch. When I did this, the little plastic clips holding it in place broke, but I don't care. I have no intention of having a functioning flood control switch ever. EVER again! In the 3rd pic here, you can see the Styrofoam that is supposed to float up during a flood to push that gray button on the bottom of the almond colored sensor. In the 4th pic you can see the gray button that triggers the infernal E17 error code. Add Tip Ask Question Comment Download Step 3: Disable the E17 Flood Control Switch Yes, yes, you must separate the little grey button from its Styrofoam partner in crime. I initially tried just unplugging the sensor switch, but the E17 code continued onward, undeterred. All you have to do is place the switch somewhere to ensure that the little grey button won't get pushed. Just make sure it is in a place where it won't get wet. It also has to remain plugged in for your machine to function, apparently. That is all there is to it, you are done. Now my machine is happily washing clothes again. (and has remained so as I update this NOV 2015. I have not had to deal with the E17 error code ever again since I did this. Yay!) Well,.that is until it was time for it to drain. Then I got the E13 code, which we shall deal with NEXT. Add Tip Ask Question Comment Download Step 4: Clean Out the Pump on Your Bosch Vision 500 Washer On the right bottom of your machine directly inside the circular hole, is the pump.. This machine ought to have a filter in line before the pump, or at least have an easy way to drain the darn machine. Or, better yet, have a valve that you can close off so that you don't even have to drain it before you can service it. With 6 kids at home I am frequently found crouched in front of the washer tediously draining the machine so that the pump can be cleaned out. Note the little lego dude who has escaped the pocket of my 7yo son's jeans. Apparently there were several of them, all having a swimmingly good time in the wash cycle. So, I feel that I am a qualified expert in the field.;) I am planning on installing some kind of in line filter with an easy clean-out for my pump eventually; I will make an instructable for that when I do. Then, You Too can have a pimped out Bosch Vision 500. Add Tip Ask Question Comment Download Step 5: First You Must Drain Your Machine First, try to get your machine to pump out any water that it will. This will make draining your pump about a million times easier. Then it laughed its continual beeping laugh at me, and refused to pump,.It was enjoying being full of water.Hooray!! I assure you, however, the problem was NOT gone. yet. But persevere, my friends and you shall be victorious! SO. There is a small black hose with a plug in it down near your pump. So, therefore, I cannot show you a photo of the actual plug. You will have to view this ratty old toothbrush. NOW then. Be prepared with a bucket. Put your drain hose down into the bucket, and pull out your plug. This may take some strength. Wrestle it out, my dearies. If your machine is not on a pedestal, you will find that your bucket has to be tipped far, far, far to the side in order for the hose to go into it and still be able to drain. Your bucket will barely be able to hold any water, as you will have it leaned down so low. Shallow containers are worse, as they tend to spill when you bail. (I Do recommend putting your machine on a pedestal. It may go to your machines head, but your pump draining process will go easier.) You will need another bucket nearby in which to dump the bounty of water which will ensue. Plug the hose up each time you dump your bucket, so as to avoid a flood. Fill and dump many, many times. Eventually all the water will be gone and you can move forward in life. I suppose you could use a shopvac, but I prefer to keep life interesting and do things the hard way. You have my regal permission to take the easy route in this instance, if that is your preference. Add Tip Ask Question Comment Download Step 6: Remove the Pump Cover Remove the PUMP COVER. Do not do so until fully drained, or there will be a tsunami in your laundry area. This cover will unscrew, turn Righty-Tighty, Lefty Loosey. Have a towel or two.or three handy, depending on how well you drained your pump. A shop vac might be handy here as well. Just know that despite all your draining, some water will come out when you open your pump. Add Tip Ask Question Comment Download Step 7: Clean Out Your Pump. Clean out your pump. Today, my pump had a Lego, a Small Stick and a bunch of Gravely Stuff. I have pulled out rubber bands, hair clips, wads of hair, socks. If you are averse to disgusting stuff, please call a service technician and pay them a bunch of money to clean out your pump.
