For example, while it explains how to remove the clutch unit, it does not tell you how to disassemble the clutch once it's out of the machine. Rather, he encourages you to just replace the entire unit.I'm glad I found this resource, and thankful the author took the time to compose it. The savings from one or two DIY repairs will probably cover the cost of the manual. More importantly, the information in the manual will keep your DC07 working for years to come.It went great, though in the reassembly instructions there are a couple of steps presented out of order. The book suggests that you do the following in this order: Install brush housing Install clutch cover Stretch belt over motor shaft These three steps can't be done in this order, as the brush housing makes installing the clutch cover very awkward, and the clutch cover encases the end of the motor. Do those three steps in the reverse order. Aside from that, I've found it to be a great resource. The author's conversational tone really makes for a quick, clear read.There are many comments in this book that otherwise would take years to learn from repair work if done on your own.
