I tried searching online and found a 'student workbook' which mainly focuses on the EST3 panel itself rather than the 3SDU. What I want to do right now is simply view our existing loops on the 3SDU without making any changes to the system. Any help is highly appreciated. Click HERE to view withTo add these powerful IP functions to EST3X, simply install the Ethernet card that supports the required services, and configure the IP operations. While the SFS1-CPU supports only one Ethernet card, up to eight different IP services may be configured to run concurrently on a single card. Each IP service may be set as secure or not secure (with or without encryption). To enable this feature, simply enter an encryption key in the Builder?s Communication Manager (Ports) setup dialog. This key is automatically passed to FireWorks. To establish encrypted communications between EST3X and FireWorks, enter the passphrase into the 3-SDU (ECP Service Configuration). The encoding methodology used is Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) 256 bit. If encryption is necessary to communicate to an email server, a root certificate file must be obtained from the provider and loaded into the SDU. Supported file types are PEM and DER.By using external distribution lists in this manner, an end user can easily manage changes in distribution lists without requiring access to the SDU.A timer-based filter can be used to reduce the number of emails sent when multiple events of the same type are active on the panelAlways plan wiring for the worst-case scenario. FireWorks maintains the most stringent connection because common controls are deployed with UL listed hardware. Here the physical connection has requirements for protection against physical injury. It is also restricted by distance. Refer to the latest ETHx installation sheet for installation details.Temporary connection for control panel programming and diagnostics.Limit connection to same room, within 20 ft. (6.1 m), and enclose in conduit or equivalent protection against mechanical injury.Maximum distance 200 ft. (60 m) when connecting to a building?s local infrastructure of switches or hubs for CMS and SMTP communication. This requires that you collect IT-related data, some from the local IT department, and some from FireWorks, if deployed. Among the information you may need for this purpose is the following: IP addresses static or dynamic DHCP server name Subnet mask Gateway Ports and encryption keys. Avoid late-stage surprises by connecting with IT personnel early in the project.
