Amazon Customer 5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality. Good job.I was a little disappointed with the volume drop, but compensated with more amp volume. For me, it worked best as the last gadget before the amp.ran stomp boxes before volume pedal. So I decided to connect it after the distortion and VOILA, IT WORKS PERFECTLY AS A VOLUME PEDAL.I DID NOT LOSE ANY OF MY DISTORTION.It's small so it fits on a small board which is great. I'm a big guy though so i made a mistake using this pedal. There's no adjustable tension on this thing, which sucks because personally i don't like how easily the pedal travels but it does have a minimum output pot. Not usable for my needs but many will find it helpful. One thing to take note of that you won't see anywhere period except the user manual is that output 2 does NOT pass audio to the tuner out.http://majcentrum.com/user_uploads/file/boss-dd-5-user-manual.xml Overall a decent volume pedal but i wish i had a bigger board so i could get something like the Boss fv500h.I use this pedal to control two mono instruments and it does the job perfectly. I also like the tuner output feature which is better than some of the tuner pedals I tried that added noise to the loop. Highly recommendedSorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again Stereo and it has a knob on the side that lets you set the minimum volume. What a good idea!!!! And that is not all. It also has a seperate outlet for your tuner!!! IF and I mean IF I had to level a criticism I would like it to be a touch heavier but as most of us use velcro on pedal boards it matters not.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Expression for the keyboard or simple volume control.http://freeedu.co.za/node/81288 For both, I would recommend Behringer FCV100 unless you don't like using that steep pedal movement. It's practically Yamaha FC-7 clone and does it extremely well but it does a lot more. Besides CV, you can change it for stereo volume control. Only minus is that for volume, it needs separate 12v power source. For less steep movement, I can recommend Italian stuff. Technics SZ-E2 or Generalmusic. For pure stereo volume, without need for separate power source, I recommend the old Boss FV series if you can find them. Good old FV-200 and FV-300 even contains expression output as well. Sorry that I am offering mostly second hand stuff hehLess mixing causes the fact that I have original Technics pedal for my Technics WSA1 and Generalmusic pedal for my Generalmusic S3 turbo. Oberheim Systemizer is overly superior. You may wish to check out Max MSP or PD in the future if your need for realtime control hits a wall with the Systemizer.http://drbillbaker.com/images/boss-fv-200-manual.pdfSystemizer was already manufactured in 1989, and yet even today there's no anything equivalent at hardware level. And even if such unlikely of all improbable things would happen. I would never use softies. I rely only on hardware.I have larger than average feet, so the bigger the better. In fact, I've never used the CV outputs on my MP-201, just the midi out. Sounds great but the price is way too much for me. Besides the interaction with analog connections, I don't have a need for it currently since I already have Systemizer. But honestly I am very amazed and satisfied that Moog actually makes it difference by manufacturing performance oriented products.https://jointrilogy.com/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/1626ec7ad497e9---bosch-mixer-instruction-manual.pdfRunning out of the space! heh They're both collecting dust, I can't find a good use for them.. I know this must probably make you cringe lol. Can you share some of your uses for expression pedals. I find that with aftertouch and a modwheel I have plenty control. Maybe I'm just not creative enough. I also have an MP-201 but only use that as a MIDI-CV (can anybody say overkill ?). I really need to get into using these foot controllers some more. Maybe this thread will inspire me. If anyone can share how they use their expression pedals (eg which parameter do you like modulating with your pedals?) that would be helpful. I really need to get into using these foot controllers some more. Maybe this thread will inspire me. If anyone can share how they use their expression pedals (eg which parameter do you like modulating with your pedals?) that would be helpful. I also use other pedals with my analog synths that are pure volume control thru audio cables and that's it. For example, I use volume pedals for analog synths to compensate the lack of velocity and aftertouch. I would use Moog MP with my Yamaha CS-50 because it seems like you can adjust LFO speed with pedal so by connecting Moog to external in, the you can use it as external lfo so it adds another expression since CS-50's aftertouch and velocity can control only lfo modulation, not speed. So I was thinking, why not build one, how hard could it be, right. I don't know.alexandramarati.com/files/files/cara-manual-update-eset-smart-security-5.pdf But I think I'd rather have an extra slider up on my synth than a pedal on the floor. And besides, you can get many midi tools with sliders for very cheap at second hand. For example, I have Yamaha MCS2 which contains 2 sliders which I can assign for any midi command I want. And all of them are Boss FV-200 so they doing nothing more than controlling stereo volume so there's no midi controlling involved at all in pedals, as I presumed at first. As I told before, just using volume pedals and by using midi filters for sustain commands you can achieve very impressive result.Running out of the space! heh I'd prefer something new, a foot pedal seems like it would work for me. See the diagrams below, I'm taking the lfo out into the vco 1 pitch, I just need it to turn it on and off easier than using the cables. Any suggestions? I do have a moog expression pedal.I've tried to draw the hardware side out in a schematic, the point being that you translate MIDI via the M-Audio Fast Track C600 (hooked up to the Mac you load a soft synth) into audio which you then feed into a mixer where you control each input with a volume pedal, hence controlling your soft synths via volume control.I just can't find edit button to correct the link again.Memorials, RIPs and Obituaries Grove Park, Maidenhead, Berkshire SL6 3LW.Hosted by Nimbus Hosting. The FV 500 fulfils this task - in contrast to most guitar potentiometers - practically without sound loss - particularly before the preamp of the amp. The tuner out is also very practical; With a connected tuner you can tune silently! Someone gave this to me and gutted it a bit. Any info would be great thanks. Peace! Arn C. It is basically the foot operated pot set up as a normal volume pot with the other pot on the ground side of that, so you can vary how close the signal gets to zero. Look at it as the second pot is a preset for the minimum level. I'll keep looking for the mono schem. Update Got the schem I was looking for. A Roland EV-5.
